I Love My Kids!

What a fantastic Sunday!  Upon arriving home from a Sunday morning photos shoot, I walk in the house to find a roaring fire in the fireplace (built by my boys) and a brunch consisting of crepes with orange cream cheese spread (made by my girl).  The kitchen was a mess and there were wood chips spread from the front door all the way to the fireplace in the living room - but it was heaven!

If you want the recipe for Kate's crepes and spread, email me - I'm sure she won't mind sharing.  So naturally, being in "PhotographerMom" mode, I wanted to get a picture of the kids doing what they were doing, but they weren't on board.  "Can we just do that another day Mom?"  OK.

Instead, I'm just posting a quick photo that we took at my Mom's on Thanksgiving this year.

If a child is given love, he becomes loving ... If he's helped when he needs help, he becomes helpful. And if he has been truly valued at home ... he grows up secure enough to look beyond himself to the welfare of others.

A Beautiful Autumn!

Well, at this point I guess I'm going to have to face the fact that keeping up a regular blog is a bit of a stretch for me.  I do love this site, though, so I'm still posting when I can.  It was a crazy busy fall with school starting back up (which also means school sports, music lessons, etc, etc, etc) and a lot of autumn photo sessions.  We had some beautiful colors again this fall, although the season of color was kind of short.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Bring on the snow!

M & B's Beautiful Outdoor Wedding

Yesterday was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding!  The sun shone on M & B as they said their wedding vows under a cloudless sky.  Congratulations you two, and all the best in your future lives together!

Peoplescapes

The city of Regina has such a vast array of shooting locations, which gave this workshop a wide variety of photo shooting opportunities.  Rob and Devona did a great job of putting these evenings together so that we could make the most of our time together as a group.  Thanks for the evening of fun and inspiration!

Summer Wedding Rain (and sometimes hail)

This super couple had a wet wedding day in Alberta and felt sure that our normally dry Saskatchewan weather wouldn't disappoint them when they planned to have a reception here as well.  It was a near miss, but beautiful weather prevailed, even though a nasty hailstorm hit just miles away from their outdoor reception.  May this good luck follow you throughout your married life!  Thanks for making me a part of your day.

Super Cute Family

Thanks K & K for showing me around the river hills while we found some gorgeous locations for a family photo shoot.  It was windier than ever which really made little C wrinkle his nose at the weather but we got some great shots.  How could we get anything but?
